Just starting to educate myself and do the research to determine if this whole “selling on Amazon” thing is something I would want to pursue, so I’m as new and green as they come!! I have learned a tremendous amount already from reading your blogs and watching some of the videos and I just have to decide if purchasing the JS tools is the best route for me.

I’m a newbie and just stumbled into this article, which I find hugely informative. So thank you for writing this article. I’m close to finishing building my very first website and don’t have a domain yet, but have a question. Since affiliate program is considered a business, I’m wondering how do we set up a simple LLC one person company to separate our personal stuff from our online business stuff? Is there a simple reliable step-by-step guide we can follow, or does anyone here can advise with your own experiences? Thank you.
Hm, I’d suggest you to take a look into paid products as opposed to paid membership websites, since the former is generally more useful than the latter (at least in my opinion). I can’t recommend anything in particular without knowing what exactly you are looking for (copywriting, networking, marketing, etc.), but I suggest you to check http://www.appsumo.com, they have a lot of great products there. Also, in case you are looking into paid membership websites for social reasons, not for learning a particular discipline, you might want to check out Dan Andrew’s Dynamite Circle (www.tropicalmba.com/innercircle), it’s a private forum where more than 400 internet entrepreneurs hang out, so it’s good for networking, asking for advice, socializing, etc. Hope that helps, let me know if you have any other questions! :)
I clicked on a number of products to see where it took me. It does appear that the products are connected to Amazon but one would never know it since the product that shows is not the same as the listing on Amazon.. I have started a site using Amazon Affiliate products and when a visitor clicks on a product on my site it takes them to the product listing on Amazon which looks totally differenet than the Gear Patrol listings.
Soundproofing a room in your home is a popular search term on Google, and there are TONS AND TONS of products you can recommend and link to Amazon for people to buy. And you’ll earn 8% of the products they buy after clicking your affiliate link to Amazon. The best part of it is that the products are often in the $200 range, which I find to be a sweet spot for Amazon Associates. It’s enough money that you get a good commission, but not so absurdly expensive that people won’t buy.
The iHerb affiliate program is one of the leading programs in the field of health products. This global retailer gives its affiliates competitive rewards: a commission of 10% on all purchases made thanks to your referral. In addition, you can earn a 20% commission by promoting iHerb Brands products. You can use ready-to-use text links, images and other creative assets, as well as coupons. Moreover, you will be among the first to receive notifications about upcoming sales.
For example, you can design digital products, like animal clipart or a downloadable wedding poem that could be printed by the customer. Your design could be resold thousands of times without needing to create each item or ship it. Once you create your digital product and list it on a site like Etsy or Ebay, the revenue flows in with little oversight.
