This is a great list Stuart and it would take a lifetime or two to try to get to all of them. I currently have a mini network setup to create authority sites and I'm wondering if anyone would be interested in being part of the network to run their own niche category. You can almost think of it like a franchise where you are part of the whole where you get all the tools and resources necessary to get up and running and I'll offer the ongoing support as well as growing the brand to get you the traffic. It's a new idea I have and looking for anyone that may be interested.
When starting out, focus on being a generalist. You won’t know what you’re most interested in yet, so building up a general digital marketing skill set will help you hone in on the areas that excite you most. You’ll also be more hireable since a digital marketer who can wear a few different hats is much more useful than one who only knows how to do Instagram ads.
The exciting part with this hands-on class is that you not only get to hear about ways to grow your professional persona using social media, but you will actually do it! “What Is Social” is the first in a six-course specialization offered by Northwestern University (a top university in the United States). Once you finish this first course, you can continue on with the next steps of the track: Social Media Marketing: How to Profit in a Digital World. (The first course is free; the full track costs $426.)

However, what if you make a website about traveling with a cat?  You could recommend cat carriers, devices to keep them cool in a car, etc.  Search on Amazon to see what type of product you could recommend to people, but then make the website helpful to pet owners who want to travel.  Answer questions and give good tips.  Then mention products in articles that could help them too.
Thanks for the post. In Sermush it is reporting that I’m in 4th position for one of those “blank near me” terms. However when I search for it in google, I am no where to be found (like 3/4 page)…Instead it is showing actual local businesses in my city that are close to me…. I guess only if my browser was not to specific location would I show? But everyone these days is set to a city of theirs and so my page doesn’t have a chance. Or does it?
Venture capitalist Marc Suster has a blog post called “Is It Time For You to Earn or to Learn?” and I think that’s the exact scenario here, especially when you’re first starting out. I use none of those skills nowadays that I learned in college. It’s totally useless. As a matter of fact, the first job I got coming out of college was a dead-end job doing data entry, and my friend introduced me to Internet marketing, and that’s when I started learning everything.
A sub-niche could be offering solutions to deter “porch pirates” from stealing packages from outside homes. You could also create a series of digital information products for this market, or a YouTube channel reviewing home security gadgets and appliances. Another approach could be to start an affiliate marketing site on making your home burglar proof.
As an affiliate for Boatbookings, you will receive 20% of their revenue - effectively meaning your commission will be about 4% of any sales from your referrals.  You also receive 10% of any commissions Boatbookings make on repeat customers who were your referrals. They do have a minimum charter value of 3,000 ($/€/£/etc) before commissions are earned.
A superb list of high ticket affiliate programs. As you say how is it possible to generate any kind of meaningful income if you are promoting just one-time products for small commissions. A good tip for newbie affiliates is to ask themselves what level of income do they want to make at the end of the month . If you want to make an income that is even approaching a level where you can ditch your day job, you will need to have high ticket commissions and recurring income as part of the strategy.
You need to decide which machines you want to run, get the necessary licenses to operate them (you're selling items so you need to get sales licenses and whatnot from your state), buy the machines and a truck for the items in the machines, find a supplier of the products, and then finally you can secure locations. Finally, you need to service them periodically or hire someone to service them.
Also referred as Commission Junction, CJ is a large affiliate network offer affiliate programs for a wide range of popular and well-established organizations. This program acts as the intermediary between the merchants who will provide the products to sell and the affiliates who will do the marketing. This program is very advantageous as it provides very many affiliate programs at the same place.
Wow! What an awesome list! My favorite is the stock photography because I love photography. I have had some success there, particularly with one photo I make some decent income from. I think the key with stock photography is finding a shot that is high demand. Then, find a new unique way to frame that shot. This is the reason my St. Louis Arch photo is a top 10 on both ShutterStock and iStockPhoto. Thanks for the awesome ideas above!

Matcha: The market for Matcha tea has rapidly grown for brick-and-mortar stores in the last couple of years. With its incredible health benefits and matcha-exclusive tea bars popping up, it continues to be a long-lasting trend. When searching for a supplier, be wary of any cheap imitations. Matcha tea originates in Japan. China is now producing powdered green tea that is ‘Matcha-style,’ but, depending on the manufacturer, it can taste bitter. Be sure to do your research and ensure your supplier is offering quality products.

When writing this guide, we reached out to the marketer community to collect case studies and learnings about creative marketing strategies. Most of these examples are included throughout the guide, but some didn’t quite fit. So we included those loose ends here, from the perspective of four awesome marketers. What better way to wrap up this guide than with you, our community?

Domain names cannot be replicated. If one is taken, the only recourse would be to approach the owner to discuss a sale. While there are other variations you could choose, sometimes owning a certain domain (especially if it is attached to your business) can be worth the premium. Often, people will scout out domain names that are still available, buy them, and then sit on them in order to sell them down the road. Depending on who may want the domain down the road, you could sell it for a large markup.
You asked if we would like more of this kind of post, and the answer is yes! Thank you for the niche ideas but more importantly the strategies on how you found them. Do you have a post about different ways on how to monetize once you have found a niche/idea. I can’t seem to figure out how money is made once you have a niche or industry locked down. If there is a post or if you could write one just as detailed and informative as this one, that would be really awesome, thank you.
That third step is where the research comes in. For each of the areas you’re trying to improve at, you want to find experiments you can run with that skill in order to get better at it. To find those experiments, look for case studies. Don’t read guides or listicles if you can help it; case studies will be more informative. You want to see specifically what worked for someone else, then turn that into your own experiment you can test.
3d printing is a booming industry right now.  3d printers are machines that start with a chunk of plastic and essentially cut out whatever you design on the computer.  You can make clothing, jewelry, technology accessories, all kinds of things.  Writing a blog about what can be made with 3d printers, reviewing the best 3d printers, and having info on making the best designs would be AWESOME!  I might even follow this kind of blog even though I don’t have a 3d printer, just because I want to get one so bad!
Jennifer Barrett, chief education officer at Acorns and editor-in-chief of Grow, agrees with Goudreau. "Developing steady passive income streams can be a great way to supplement your regular paycheck and boost your bottom line," she tells Bustle. "Just be sure to do your homework ahead of time so you're aware of the costs and risks involved and realistic about the income you can expect. Investing regularly in the stock market can provide earnings over time from compounding market returns. But there are also ways to create steady streams of passive income that pay out at regular intervals — from investing in stocks that pay dividends and bonds that pay interest to investing in a rental property or renting out your own home."

If you’d prefer to skip the startup phase, you might want to buy a blog that’s already built and earning revenue. This is actually pretty easy to do as a lot of people start blogs, and then get bored with them. Getting a blog going is a labor-intensive process, and it’s not uncommon for people to give up before they’ve reached their full potential.
How to Monetize the Site: This site is ripe for products.  Video courses on how to pass the Part 107 exam in the United States, courses on cinematography with drones, how to start an aerial photography business, etc.  When you have these courses created, PLEASE email me because I’ll gladly be an affiliate for your products.  I could send you TONS of business from my photography site.

Teachable and Udemy are two of many, but these are the most prevalent, and they’re both intuitive and user-friendly. With Teachable, you have more control over your pricing and the look and feel of your course, but you don’t get a built-in audience. Instead you have to do all the marketing yourself. Udemy has a built-in base of students, but you don’t have as much control and they take more of your revenue.
